NEWS: Download announce first headliners

Download festival 2017 have announced the first lot of bands, including all three headliners.

Biffy Clyro will appear on the Donnington main stage for the first time, joining System of a Down and kings of rock, Aerosmith.

Of Mice and Men frontman Austin Carlile is finally out of hospital after a month’s stay.

The metal-core vocalist has been very open about his fight with Marfan Syndrome.

The band had to cancel their upcoming European tour to focus on Austin’s recovery.


Metallica have announced a super tiny show in November.

The gig is set to take place on the 17th, the release date of the metalcore giants latest album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.

Tickets can only be won in a draw, with winners asked to make a £20 donation to Railway Children.


Finally, Underoath have revealed a 2017 comeback tour.

Not only are the post hardcore Floridians returning to the UK for the first time in years, they’re also going to be playing their defining albums They’re Only Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line in their entirety.
