NEWS Round Up: Twenty One Pilots claim Rock Artist of 2016

Alt rock giants Twenty One Pilots have been crowned Billboard’s Top Rock artists of 2016.

It’s no surprise given that Stressed out has spent 23 weeks at number 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart, and scooped number one on the chart’s year round up.

The duo also placed fifth on the Top Artists chart. Wow!

Ink Masters has named it’s first female winner, Ryan Ashley Malarkey.

The show, which runs a little bit like Bake Off but without the signature challenge, reached it’s 8th season before crowning a female winner.

Ryan co-owns The Strange and Unusual with Finance and Motionless In White keyboardist Josh Balz.

“It’s time that a strong, dedicated woman isn’t afraid to be herself and work hard for this title,” the artist told Spike.

Finally, Beartooth, Papa Roach, Pierce the Veil and dozens more have joined one of the most insane festival line ups of 2017.

Unfortunately for us Brits, it’s in America.

Welcome to Rockville takes place on April 29th and 30th in Jacksonville, Florida and I for one think it’s worth the plane ticket over.

Check out the full line up here.
